Release Checklist

The following release checklist is for the RoarAudio package. It may may be used by other packages, too. (In [] additional infos may be listed for some packages)

1. Update manpages/perldoc to match binaries [!aroarfw]
2. Update shell/bash completion scripts to match binarys [!aroarfw]
3. Update ckport database [!rpld !Audio::RPLD !aroarfw]
4. Check versions in Makefile.inc [!µRoar !µRoarD !rpld !Audio::RPLD !aroarfw !SCRSI]
5. Ensure everything is committed
6. Test on all Release critical systems?
7. Test on all other systems you have access to
8. Update README to list test results
9. Set release date in ChangeLog?
10. Ensure everything is committed including last changes to ChangeLog?.
11. Tag the release in VCS
12. Export package from VCS
13. Run release-helper
14. tar everything up
15. sign
16. upload
17. update download page
18. post on IRC (+topic)
19. post on RA/RS Announce
